North Queensland Cricket Representation
Congratulations to our Year 7 students, Zahra Cale and Ellen Smith, who have been chosen to represent North Queensland for Cricket. Both girls travelled in Ingham for their respective trials and are part of a combined Peninsula and North Queensland team.
Zahra was selected in the 10-12-years girls cricket team last month and was a wizard with her spin bowling and excelled in the batting session. Zahra will be representing NQ at the State titles at Marchant Park, Aspley in Brisbane from the 15th–19th of September this year.
Ellen was selected in the 13-14-years age group last weekend. In early November, Ellen will be travelling to Rockhampton to represent NQ at the Girls State Championships from 3 -6 November. The girl’s selections are credit to their dedication and commitment to their chosen sport. Their skill development continues with them taking advantage of every opportunity to improve, watch cricket and learn. They are growing with confidence and are looking forward to an exciting cricket season ahead.
