Where Are They Now?
What year did you graduate? My last year at Proserpine State High School was Year 10 in 2011.
What were your favourite subjects at Proserpine State High School? HPE, Maths, Woodwork, and SOSE.
Favourite Proserpine State High School memory? Playing school sports rugby league and rugby union with some of best mates on Wednesday and Friday afternoons and Care Carnivals.
Where did life take you after you graduated? After I finished at Proserpine State High School I moved to the Gold Coast to pursue further opportunities for sports.

What job position are you currently in? I’m Currently playing rugby league professionally in the UK Super League.
Tell us about why you picked a career as a professional athlete and what your study/training journey has been? Sport was always a career that I wanted to pursue, whether that be rugby league, rugby union, cricket or Aussie rules. I think growing up in North Queensland, I was always bound to stick with rugby league. Upon finishing high school in 2013, I went straight into training with the Gold Coast Titans National Youth Competition Squad for Under 20s.
Following a few seasons with the Titans NYC squad, I was given an opportunity to play in the NRL pre-season with the Titans at the end of 2015, where my professional and full-time career as a rugby league player began.
At the end of 2016 I joined the North Queensland Cowboys NRL squad which was a dream come true and I remained with the team until the end of the 2021 season playing 41 games across five seasons for the club. After my stint with the Cowboys I joined the Salford Red Devils who compete in the Super League in the UK and have spent the last four seasons playing for them. Alongside my professional rugby league career, I’m studying my Masters in Business Administration (Leadership) online at Central Queensland University.
Best experience since graduating at Proserpine State High School? My best experience was making my NRL debut for the North Queensland Cowboys in 2017 and being apart of that squad that made the NRL Grand Final in 2017. Also having my career take me all over the world and having the ability to travel has been an awesome experience.
Best advice for current Year 12 students? Have a go and get out of your comfort zone. No one will ever knock you for trying, it's the best way to learn.
