Year 9s take up nutritious cooking task
Our Year 9 Food Technology students have been exploring the powerful impact of diet on health through a design-based cooking project. With diet-related health issues on the rise in Australia, this task encourages our students to make informed food choices while catering for special occasions.



Each student worked hard to design, prepare, and present a nutritious dish suitable for a family celebration, considering dietary needs and health concerns. After evaluating two recipe options, students had the opportunity to prepare their chosen dish, applying food safety and hygiene practices, and reflect on their final product. This project combines creativity, key understanding of nutrition, and practical cooking skills in a meaningful way. Keep up the great work everyone!
