Where are they now? Danielle Ham (nee Faust)
What year did you graduate? 2008.

Where did life take you after you graduated? I went to James Cook University in Townsville where I was studying Accounting but then I changed to New Media Arts. I travelled a lot overseas with friends while at university and early in my career. More recently, I've had two kids, and am now looking to grow my business and progress my career while spending time with my family.

What job position are you currently in? I am contracting as Senior Designer at the Toyota North Queensland Cowboys NRL Football Club. I am also the owner of my own design studio - Brandsmith Studio.

Tell us about why you picked a career in graphic design and what your study/training journey has been? I've always been good with computers and had a keen interest in economics and helping people in business. I've found with graphic design, there is a nice balance of business, strategy and creativity. After university, I worked in quite a lot of studios and as an in-house designer. Each time learning as much as I can from both a skills and administration perspective. This was mostly from those around me, and a little from online courses offered by other professionals in the field.

Best experience since graduating at Proserpine State High School? University was great, I was lucky enough to live on college with my sisters and we had a lot of fun together. It's where I met my husband, and we made the best group of friends who we're still very close with. I really value that experience as it's what got me to where I am today.

Best advice for current Year 12 students? Work hard, find your passion, listen to your gut and learn from your mistakes.
Favourite motto you live by? Everything happens for a reason.
